With the season reaching its climax, just who in the top six is going to make it to the luxurious completion of the Champions League?

Chelsea and Tottenham have secured their position for the elite competition, however with only two other spaces left what are the chances for Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal?

Liverpool placed in third place with 70 points have two games left to play and will be feeling the pressure on wanting to make the top four. With a home draw against Southampton and Arsenal winning, Liverpool will be looking to try and secure maximum points in their next two games.

Their next opponent is West Ham United, which the Scouse club have struggled against winning only two of their last five meetings with the London club in the League.  Klopp knows that team such as City and Arsenal have games in hand and a potential to win more points than Liverpool if they drop any more.

Pep’s Manchester City will be looking to also secure Champions League football for next season. This could potentially be the first time Pep could miss out in the elite competition for the first time in his career if City drop any more points in their last remaining games, especially with United only four points behind them.

Defensively is where City have had most of their issues this season and Pep will be looking to improve the back for next season if his team is to find success in England and Europe. City have struggled in the European competition only getting in the semi-final once in their club’s history, last year when managed by Manuel Pellegrini.

United and Arsenal are in the weakest positions to get to the top four, though United have another route through the Europa League and have a strong chance of winning the competition. Arsenal however, will be wanting to win all their games in order to try and break into Europe. However, their run in is certainly not the easiest with away games at Southampton and Stoke. They do however look forward to an FA cup final clash with Chelsea which could possibly end Arsene Wenger on a high?

My Top Four Prediction:

  • Chelsea
  • Tottenham Hotspur
  • Liverpool
  • Manchester City
